Sessions in English for leaders and specialists

Capable on the outside. Never quite enough inside.

If you live in the Næstved area or elsewhere in southern Zealand, and the person others see does not match the voice you hear in your own head, you are not alone in knowing the difference. This page, in English, describes conversations for exactly that.

This site describes online sessions with the psychologist Frank for leaders and specialists in and around Næstved. The sessions are offered by djursland-psykologen.dk, and this page is an entry point to them.

See the framework and the waiting list The main site is in Danish.

Two versions of the same day

Outwardly you may be the manager who keeps the overview, or the specialist people bring their difficult questions to. Inwardly there can be a quieter commentary: it was luck, it could have been better, praise does not count because it is simply your job.

What the sessions can make room for

  • self-criticism that began as a useful habit and now feels relentless
  • the sense of being found out, even when your results speak clearly
  • recognition that does not seem to land
  • perfectionism, and what it costs you and the people around you

Online, in English, at a fixed time

Online is the main route. You talk from home or from somewhere private, without spending time on transport. If you would rather sit in the same room, in-person evening sessions are possible in Mørke on Djursland. Either way, sessions can be held in English.

There is a fixed weekly evening slot, and you see the same psychologist throughout, so you never need to start from scratch. Capacity is limited, and there is typically a waiting list. No start date can be promised, and signing up is non-binding. It is done through the main site.

Who it is for

Typical clients are managers and directors, founders, specialists, busy professionals and people with an international profile who prefer to speak English. You do not need a finished explanation. This text describes common experiences and is neither a diagnosis nor an assessment of you.

Questions and answers

Can the sessions be in English?

Yes. They can take place in English, both online and in person in Mørke on Djursland. Online is the main route for people in Næstved.

Do I need to know what to talk about?

No. A sense that the picture others have of you and the one you carry inside do not match is enough to begin with. Words tend to come as you go.

Will my GP or employer be told?

No. Your GP, your municipality, your partner or spouse and your workplace are not informed. The sessions are private, need no referral and are covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality. You do not need to give your employer's name when you sign up.

Can my company pay?

Yes. Many people have the invoice paid by their company or workplace, though you can also pay yourself. For prices and terms, see the practical information page (in Danish).
